Co-parenting can be challenging and often a source of high conflict. That being said sometimes you need a guide to help you traverse through the co-parenting uncertainty and concerns you may face.

Helping you and your ex to establish a successful co-parenting relationship especially where your child's welfare is placed above all else is the primary goal of cooperative parenting guided by a trained Parenting Coordinator.

Fortunately for you the team at Staying Connected has a Certified Parenting Coordinator on staff trained at helping you reduce the stress, tension, and confusion that often arises as divorcing parents navigating the new world of cooperative co-parenting.

As you embark on this journey, we will work with you and your ex through both individual and joint sessions so that you can improve your communications skills, set appropriate boundaries, and establish shared schedules, all aimed at developing a healthy co-parenting environment where your child thrives and is not pulled into any conflict that may arise with you and your ex.

What is Cooperative Parenting?

Cooperative parenting offers several benefits for both parents and children:

1. Stability and Consistency: Children thrive on routine and predictability. When parents collaborate, they can maintain consistent schedules, rules, and expectations, providing stability for their child.

2. Reduced Conflict: Cooperative parenting minimizes conflict between parents. By communicating effectively and focusing on the child's well-being, parents can avoid harmful disputes that negatively impact their child.

3. Positive Role Modeling: Children learn by observing their parents. When co-parents work together respectfully, they model healthy communication, problem-solving, and conflict resolution skills.

4. Emotional Support: Sharing the parenting journey can alleviate feelings of isolation. Co-parents can provide emotional support to each other during challenging times.

5. Financial Benefits: Cooperative parenting often leads to shared financial responsibilities. This can reduce financial strain on both parents and create a more equitable arrangement.

Remember that cooperative parenting requires effort, compromise, and open communication. It's about prioritizing the child's well-being above all else.
